All through the year 2009, Zurich will see what is probably the longest alleycat series in the world: the Zürimetzgkatze. It consists of twelve individual stages. Each month, somebody else will be in charge of designing the race stage. Accordingly, the stages will differ from one another in style. But both body and mind will be challenged each time. What happens after the race is always an important part of alleycat racing, too. There will be plenty of chances to chat and party in a relaxed atmosphere. There will be cheers to the winners and points will be awarded to elect an overall winner. At the end of the year, he or she will receive the grand prize: an airline ticket to go to the 18th Cycle Messenger World Championships in Panajachel, Guatemala in September 2010.
The exact dates for the races will always be announced two months in advance
